The Day Decaf Won: Marley Coffee Made Stu a Believer

Let me tell you about the moment the world shifted ever so slightly on its axis: Stu, my no-nonsense, self-declared decaf hater, took a sip of Marley decaf coffee and said it was soooooooo goooood.

Yes. Stu. The man who rolls his eyes at the mere mention of “decaf.” The one who insists it always tastes like cardboard and betrayal. That Stu.

And yet here we were. One sip, and he was floored.

Let me back up.

We picked up this bag of Marley Coffee Decaf, drawn in by the brand’s roots, you know, Bob Marley vibes, soul, rhythm, and all things grounded and good. I figured worst case, I’d enjoy it on my own. Best case, maybe Stu wouldn’t completely hate it.

What I wasn’t expecting? A man who paused mid-sip, looked at me like something sacred had just passed his lips, and said (no exaggeration),

“That’s… soooooooo goooood.”

No bitterness. No aftertaste. Just smooth, rich, and full-bodied — like the kind of coffee you want to start your day with, even without the buzz. And it’s decaf. I know. I’m still recovering too.

So What’s the Deal?

  • Marley Decaf is Swiss Water Processed  meaning no chemicals, just pure coffee vibes
  • It’s deep, warm, and mellow, like the acoustic version of your favourite song
  • And according to a newly converted Stu: “Tastes like real coffee. Better, even.”

Most people don’t realise that caffeine has a half-life of around 5–6 hours, which means if you drink a coffee at 2pm, half of that caffeine is still in your system at 8pm and a quarter is still there at midnight. For Stu (and let’s be honest, for most of us), having a coffee at 6 or even 8 in the evening felt normal… but we were waking up groggy, wired in our bodies, and wondering why our sleep was so light or broken. Switching to decaf has been a game changer especially one that actually tastes good. It’s not just about sleep, it’s about how your nervous system resets, and we’re genuinely feeling the difference.

We’ve officially found our evening brew. The cup that doesn’t come with jitters, only a little wink from the universe saying, you can have soul and softness at the same time.

So here’s to surprises.

To Marley.

And to the day Stu said yes to decaf.
